  2. Background of Project • Femen, a Ukrainian-based feminist. • “Topless Jihad” campaign to “protect” Muslim women’s rights • Muslim women’s reaction • Femenleader Inna Shevchenko stated, “They write on their posters that they don’t need liberation, but in their eyes it’s written ‘help me.’”

  3. Primary Message of Project This piece is not about attacking feminism or Femen, but attacking the idea that WOC are oppressed and need to be saved.
