  4. Enjoying His Presence  “In Your presence”  “In Your right hand”  Verse 8  Conscious choice  Constant choice

  5. I have set the Lord continually before me. We are called to live our lives Coram Deo: “Before the face of God.”

  6. The Benefits of His Presence 1. Satisfaction in Him  vv. 5-6; imagery of inheriting land Yahweh is the portion of my inheritance!  Fullness of joy  Pleasures forever Verse 11

  7. “There is a joy which is not given to the ungodly, but to those who love Thee for Thine own sake, whose joy Thou Thyself art. And this is the happy life, to rejoice to Thee, of Thee, for Thee; this it is, and there is no other.” Augustine

Strength in Trials  “I take refuge in You” (v. 1)  He is our good in trials (v. 2)  Sometimes His good is experienced through the saints (v. 3)  “I will not be shaken” (v. 8) Indeed, my heart knows gladness, rejoicing, and security in those times (v. 9)  Messianic prophecy of verse 10 (Acts 2; 13)
