  3. The Peace Sacrifice The Peace Offering establishes a relationship between God and man so we are at peace with one another. Leviticus 3 Leviticus 7:11-37

Peace Offering Pleases God • It was an animal sacrifice from either the herd or the flock: • Bull, lamb or goat • Male or female • Without blemish • Lay hands on it • Pleases God Leviticus 3:1-5 – Bull Leviticus 3:6-11 - Lamb Leviticus 3:12-16 - Goat "If his offering is a fellowship sacrifice, and he is presenting [an animal] from the herd, whether male or female, he must present one without blemish before the LORD. 2 He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron's sons the priests will sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar. 5 Aaron's sons will burn it on the altar along with the burnt offering that is on the burning wood, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the LORD” Lev. 3:1-2 & 5

Peace Offering Is Fellowship The Peace offering involves everyone. • Part was burnt in acknowledgement of God (Lev. 3) • Part belonged to the Priests, Aaron’s sons (Lev. 7) • Part belonged to the offerer and his family (Lev. 7) Fellowship over a meal allows man to have peace with God which allows communion with God.

  6. Peace Offering is Friendship Through the peace offering man is able to have a relationship with God and fellow man. Matthew 22:37-39 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.

  7. Peace offering of Christ Jesus made peace; proclaimed peace; is peace; now we have peace with God in Him! Colossians 1:19-20 “For God was pleased [to have] all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile everything to Himself by making peace through the blood of His cross — whether things on earth or things in heaven.

  8. Peace offering of Christ Jesus made peace; proclaimed peace; is peace; now we have peace with God in Him! Ephesians 2:17-18 When [Christ] came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

  10. Peace offering of Christ Jesus made peace; proclaimed peace; is peace; now we have peace with God in Him! Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

  11. Peace offering of Christ Jesus made peace; proclaimed peace; is peace; now we have peace with God in Him! No Christ…No peace… Know Christ…Know Peace!
