Assessment of the Training programme Course evaluation form questions were focused on COURSE MATERIALS, QUALITY OF TRAINING, APPLICABYLITY and OVERALL COURSE EVALUATION: What did you like most about the course? Why? What did you like least about the course? Why? Did the course meet your expectations? (If not - why?) Outcomes (1) • The effectiveness of the training program for non-nuclear specialists was assessed using the Course evaluation form replies of the trainees (19) and observers (9). • The interest from the side of different professionals is an important indicator about the necessity to care such courses for non-nuclear professionals.   18. Outcomes (2) • Many non-nuclear jobs require a specialized training on nuclear. The developed Training program contains necessary courses and could provide knowledge and skills for the non-nuclear professionals and subcontractors. Outcomes (3) • The courses of the Training programme for Target group B: non-nuclear and subcontractors are available in the languages of origin. • Only the topics used in pilot training were translated to English. Outcomes (4) The topics developed especially for the Training program were: • Improved Gen III NPP АЕС-92 –General safety improvements, by REL • Operational radiation protection, by PMD • Radiation control, by INRNE • Tools for radiation control, by INRNE • Radiation Detection & Measurement , by INRNE BgNS International Conference ”Nuclear Power for the People”, 18-21 September 2013, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

  21. Outcomes (5) • The pilot training results shown that the Training programme for Target group B: non-nuclear and subcontractors provides an ability for the trainees to achieve the necessary competencies corresponding to the EQF Levels 1-5 for professionals working as civil engineers, physical protection employees, government employees, secondary school teachers, journalists etc. in support of nuclear applications as subcontractors of VVER NPPs.   23. Recommendations for training efficiency improvement • The level of applicability accordingly the trainees have to be increased. For instance, some practice as dose measurements to be included in the training when appropriate; • The training materials for non-nuclear specialists have to be more concise and simple, presented in general terms, easy to record and to use in daily round; • Better visualisation of the information is very important for the training attractiveness; • English is needed to assure a good understanding from the foreign trainees.   24. Recommendations for training programme improvement • The Training programme has to be arranged in different sets oriented to determined jobs. • This means that the collected courses and topics have to be rearranged determining more in details the number of hours, the appropriate exercises, and the needed tools.   25. Recommendations Further feedback from employers could give additional information • on the area of knowledge and skills needed as well as • on the matter to increase the effectiveness of the training programme.
