NWR Facts – Lives Saved, Partners to Thank • NWR credited with saving many lives • Big THANK YOU to private weather sector/NWR manufacturers for decades long collaboration, stretching the technology, marketing, and putting NWR into the hands of the consumer to save lives!! • Supports DHS’ Emergency Support Function (ESF) #2 of the National Response Framework • FCC Part 11 says EAS decoders “must have the capability to receive at least two audio inputs from EAS…and at least one data input…such as Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS), NWR, satellite, public switched telephone network, or any other source that uses the EAS protocol.”
