Small School FOCUS Meeting 10/2 and 10/9: Purpose, Outcome, and Next Steps

This small school FOCUS meeting on October 2nd and 9th aims to continue using data and resources to address Chapter 4 questions and self-study inquiries. The FOCUS groups will finalize narratives and evidence in Chapter 4, while also identifying areas of need. The outcome will be a progress check on Chapter 4 responses. The leadership team meeting on October 20th will involve reading Chapter 4, determining the top 3 key areas of need, and beginning the development of an action plan based on these areas. Reminders include choosing the top 5 CANs at the FOCUS meetings on October 9th and submitting Chapter 4 to the WASC Coordinator by October 17th.

  1. Small School FOCUS Meeting 10/2 and 10/9: PURPOSE: Continue to use DATA/Resources to answer Ch 4, and Self-Study questions to inform the areas of need. Each FOCUS group begins finalizing narrative and evidence in Chapter 4. OUTCOME: Progress check of Chapter 4 questions and responses

Next steps: FOCUS Group Meeting: 10/9 • Identify ( 5 ) Areas of Need from your FOCUS Area • Leads coordinate with writers to finalize Ch 4. • Finalize Chapter 4, submit to WASC Coordinator 10/17 or before. Leadership Team Meeting: 10/20 • Read Chapter 4 – October 20th Meeting • Determine top 3 CANs • Begin Developing the Action Plan based on the top 3 CANs
