Student Expectations

Encourage students to be positive, prepared, respectful, safe, and orderly in the classroom, hallway, cafeteria, and bathroom. Follow school procedures, receive Bulldog Bucks, Golden Tickets, and positive behavior reports. Avoid infractions for fun rewards like movies and dances.

  2. Classroom • Be Positive • Greet teachers at the door as you enter class • Choose a positive attitude • Make good choices • Give your best effort Choose your attitude!

  3. Classroom • Be Prepared • Prepare immediately for the lesson • Do not ask to leave the room for any reason at the beginning of class Be there!

  4. Classroom • Be Respectful • Be alert for signals from the teacher at the appropriate times; at the signal, respond & become immediately focused on the teacher • Be an active listener & participant

  5. Classroom • Be Safe & Orderly • Enter classrooms orderly and quietly • At dismissal time for each class, remain seated & quiet; the teacher will lead you to your next class Make their day!

  6. Hallway • Be Positive • Choose a positive attitude • Make good choices Choose your attitude!

  7. Hallway • Be Prepared • Have all materials needed for next class • You must have a hall pass to leave the classroom

  8. Hallway • Be Respectful • When on errands to another class: • Knock and wait for permission from the teacher to enter the room • Direct questions, comments, & requests only to the teacher. Make their day!

  9. Hallway • Be Safe & Orderly • Line up orderly & quietly against the designated wall during change of classes • Keep hands, feet, & objects to self

  10. Cafeteria • Be Positive • Choose a positive attitude • Make good choices Choose your attitude!

  11. Cafeteria • Be Prepared • Know cafeteria lunch number & have payments ready

  12. Cafeteria • Be Respectful • Say “Please” and “Thank you” • Empty food trays in the garbage can & place them properly on the cart Make their day!

  13. Cafeteria • Be Safe & Orderly • Your teacher will escort your class; walk • Use a moderate voice in the cafeteria & at recess • Avoid extremes in behavior (screaming, pushing, shoving, running, etc.)

  14. Bathroom • Be Positive • Choose a positive attitude • Make good choices Choose your attitude!

  15. Bathroom • Be Prepared • Use facilities at appropriate times & in the appropriate way

  16. Bathroom • Be Respectful • Dispose of all materials properly Make their day!

  17. Bathroom • Be Safe & Orderly • Avoid all loud & boisterous behavior • Do not stand around, visit, or wait for others • Report any problems Be there!

  19. Bulldog Bucks • Students following school procedures will receive Bulldog Bucks: $$$ Bulldog Buck $$$ 2008-2009 Student _______________________ Thank you for being positive, prepared, respectful, safe & orderly!

  20. Bulldog Bucks (cont’d) • Bulldog Bucks are handed out randomly • Students asking for Bulldog Bucks will not receive them • Student signatures must be on the front of the Bulldog Bucks • Lost or stolen Bulldog Bucks can not be replaced • Students cannot share bucks in any way

  21. Golden Tickets • Purchase Golden Tickets once a week in class • Lost or stolen Golden Tickets can not be replaced Have fun!

  22. Bulldog Buck Bonanza • Redeemed Bulldog Bucks are turned in to the office and are eligible for prizes in a monthly drawing

  23. Positive Behavior Reports • Especially for students that model the GoMS student expectations • Positive phone call home from Ms. Charlet • Bulldog Bucks & other rewards from Ms. Charlet

  24. No Infraction Movies & Dances • Held at the End of each 9 Weeks during the school day • Only students with no infractions are eligible to attend Have fun!
