  7. FIGHT OR FLIGHT • When conflict begins, you get a rush of energy. • As the conflict gets stronger, so do your feelings. • One thing leads to another!

DE-ESCALATION STRATEGIES • Call the other person by name. • Use a calm voice. • Relax your body. • Use words like “Let’s”, “We”, and “Our”. • Ask to hear the other point of view. • Attack the problem not the person. • Brainstorm together • Treat the other person the way you want to be treated.
