  7. Service above Self End Polio Now Rotarian Deanna Magdich, and husband Phil joined Rotarians from around the world to participate in the National Immunization Days in India starting February 24th for the sole purpose of giving the polio vaccine to children.  Fairfield Glade Rotary

Service above Self Deanna & Phil Magdich were excited to be able to volunteer their time and effort at their own expense to this worthy cause.  Rotarian Deanna Magdich of the Fairfield Glade Rotary Club said that Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation expressed it best when he said "The world would not be where it is without Rotary and it won't get where it needs to go without Rotary."   10. Service above Self Members of both the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade and the Rotary Club of Fairfield Glade participated in a groundbreaking ceremony to begin the "Pave the Way" project, which paved the Sculpture Garden Art Trail, making it handicapped accessible. Fairfield Glade Rotary

  11. Service above Self Sculpture Garden Art Trail This sign acknowledges effort by Fairfield Glade Rotary in both charitable donations, Rotary Grant money, and “sweat equity” in helping to create the handicapped accessible Sculpture Trail Fairfield Glade Rotary

As Rotaractors and Interactors, they make a difference in communities at home and abroad. Through Rotary Youth Exchange, they explore new cultures.   14. Service above Self The SMHS Rotary Interact students, here with Nick Reed, Youth Services Director, last year and this year, worked hard to raise $1,000 for the purchase of a shelter box. Kim Kim, the incoming Rotary District Governor from the Nashville area, was our guest speaker and was excited to accept their donation. Mr. Kim has been very active in providing and delivering shelter boxes to disaster areas around the world. In addition to the Interact donation, our Club raised $2,000 from this year's Wine on the Plateau event towards the purchase of two shelter boxes. Bob Weber and President Chris Celik presented the club's check to Mr. Kim. Fairfield Glade Rotary
