What is ? • A special sequence for your required English courses • ENGL 50 in FALL 2016 • ENGL 100 in SPRING 2017 • The coursework is based on health care interests and issues. • The course sequence better prepares you for academic writing in Allied Health courses. • The same instructor and students are in both English classes.

  7. Student Testimonials This program helped me transition to college. I like how I will have the same English professor for two semesters. The counselors guided me to specific paths. I know more about my career goals. Other students in this program are so helpful. We all work together. It makes it easy to relate.

  8. Student Testimonials The HealthStart Program provides all the tools you need to succeed in college English. My essays in high school were about two pages long, but now leaving my English 50 class, I can write a seven page essay. This course taught about the healthcare field while also teaching us how to construct essays. WIN sessions allow you to share ideas and thoughts and to create beneficial relationships between you and your classmates.

  9. How do I become part of ? Submit “Letter of Interest” form. Attend “HealthStart Orientation” in June. Sign “Student Agreement” form. Instructor gives permission code. Register
