Introduction • This pathfinder is intended for high school and college age students interested in finding a career in the audio industry. • Students are often misguided and have misperceptions about sound engineering… • Audio Industry provides many career paths to individuals with the talent and desire to work with sound.

  3. Why this topic? • I have 25+years of experience in this career • Experience with AES Student Workshops led to the idea of creating this pathfinder

  4. Pathfinder Scope • The scope of this pathfinder is to provide a career resource that would appeal to young people with a interest in music, audio and technology. The style is casual and the dialog is conversational. It attempts to be informal and informational.

  6. Reflection • Knowledge of subject made it harder to narrow down resources to include • Realized this pathfinder would never really be complete • Will continue to develop this pathfinder as it has practical use for the educational goals of the AES.
