The salary varies depending on the how well the game or simulation is received. The median base pay of a software engineer is close to $100,000 dollars a year.

  3. Interesting Facts about this IT Career • This career needs patience and requires tedious work over a long period of time. • If your project is successful, you could receive extremely large sums of money.

  4. Skills Required for this IT Career • Communication skills are needed because different members of the design team work on different aspects of the project. • Also needed is knowledge of computer operating systems, programming languages, and software development.

  5. Education Required for this IT Career • It will be necessary to take computer courses in high school and college. • You need to take as many math courses as you can especially advanced math courses such as Pre-Calculus or beyond. Also Physics and Chemistry are needed.
