Background IPSD The Institute for Purchasing and Supply Development (IPSD) is a foundation that is created to join efforts and resources around academic education and research, and professional activities on purchasing and supply management... IPSD serves as an interface between academic resources for research and teaching and external stakeholders, such as companies, business schools, research institutes and funding bodies... IPSD provides external stakeholders with access to academic knowledge, and it provides its members access to research sites, practitioner expertise and funds...

Objectives IPSD • To develop into a Center of Excellence in Purchasing and Supply Management (PSM) with a special focus on: • Strategic sourcing • Supplier networks • Product, process and business innovation • Providing superior academic educational programs • Contributing visibly to the success and quality of our department and university • Conducting academic, applied research programs resulting in academic publications • Contributing to high level meetings with practitioners like purchasing executives, supply management executives, etc, through: • conferences • executive roundtables • student meetings
