  5. Steppe Climate • Second largest climate zone. Borders Sahara to the North. • Pastoralism– raising ang grazing of live stock. • Great for tourist sector of economy. • This zone is has cool rainy winters, and hot dry summers.

  6. Rain Fall • Highest in coastal and highland mountain regions. • Large source of fresh water. When it rains some water seeps through the terrain into and aquifer until it is either taken out by man, or naturally like in an oasis. • Cereal can be grown in this zone without irrigation. • Desert Climate less than 10 Inches • Steppe Climate less than 14 inches
