  4. Describe the causes, symptoms and treatments of diabetes. Causes: Type 1 – Type 2 – Symptoms Treatments Type 1 – Type 2 - genetics, environmental and autoimmune factors unhealthy diet leading to obesity, physical inactivity and genetics. Urine rich in glucose, produces excessive volumes of urine and is persistently thirsty. Daily insulin injections and a careful diet Exercise, weight loss, diet control and additional insulin in some cases.
