Blue-Yellow Macaw • Araararauna • Live in tropics and subtropics and prefer forests that grow in swampy ground or rivers. • Vulnerable for extinction • threatened by habitat loss for agriculture • Collected, for trade to Europe and North America • Programs to build artificial nests • Removing the second chick from the nest to raise it instead of leaving it to die of starvation

  3. Polar Bears • Ursusmaritimus • Artic Circle and Sea • Vulnerable species (20,000–25,000 ) • Global Warming, oil development, trafficking • Prevention and Awareness

  4. Quagga • Equusquaggaquagga • African Savannah • Quaggas were hunted for their meat and skin. The meat was eaten and the skin was used as sacks for farmers.
