  17. Chinese • Chinese这个单词无论放在哪儿,不论在句首、句中、句尾,其首字母都要大写。Chinese作可数名词,单数、复数形式相同,意思分别为“中国人”。如: • I’m a Chinese. 我是中国人。 • They are Chinese. 他们是中国人。 • 【拓展】 • (1)Chinese作不可数名词用,意思分别是“汉语”。 • What’s this in Chinese? 这个汉语怎么说? • Say it in Chinese, please. 请用汉语说出来。

  18. (2)in Chinese / Japanese / English是一种固定说法。在语言名词前加介词in,表示“用……语言”,表示方式、方法。 • (3)Chinese作形容词,充当定语,修饰名词,放在名词前。此时用法表示“中国(人)的”,也可表示“具有……国籍的”。Chinese用作形容词修饰名词时,前面可用数词或不定冠词a (an)来修饰。如: • Look! That’s a Chinese car. • —Is that a Chinese jeep? • —No, it isn’t. It’s an English jeep.
