PS/SPD HARDWARE STATUS

The March 2008 commissioning meeting focused on the PS/SPD hardware status. Key updates include the successful replacement and checks of the Wiener PS, ensuring the cooling system is operational for both PS and SPD. VFE measurements were completed for SPD, and connectics measured for PS. The C-side DAQ project has been restored and is functioning well. The global commissioning for the C-side was successfully achieved, with cosmic searches performed in both detectors. The team will continue with GCA activities and further debugging of TAE events.

COMMISSIONING MEETING – MARCH 2008 - W2 PS/SPD HARDWARE STATUS • Work devoted to A-side (prior to the access): • Wiener PS replacements and checks. • Cooling system is operationnal for PS and SPD. • SPD: VFE measurements. • PS: VFE/FE connectics measured. • LEDs have still to be measured for A-side (Evgueni, Edu, Valentin et al.) PS/SPD COMMISSIONING

  2. COMMISSIONING MEETING – MARCH 2008 - W2 PS/SPD GLOBAL COMMISSIONING • C-side DAQ project was restored, tuned and eventually works. Safety copy is made. One single user on the PC. No crash. A dream… • Allowed to join the global comissioning activity already on Wednesday. • PS and SPD full C-side global-commissioned succesfully. • Search for cosmics. Seen in both detectors. • We re-enter on Friday in GC activity. TAE events (in the mode +/- 2 around bunch crossings) debugged. Found the L0pipeline latency. • Few kevents recorded.
