YOUR TEAM IS UP AND RUNNING! • Support Section consists of 10 Advisors and 6 Team Leaders • Staff Section Process to Select our First NCSA Advisor • eServices will continue to get bigger, better, and easier to use • Expect to see minor changes and improvements in the Staff (example new NCSA Advisor)

  3. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTCol. Bryan Cooper, Advisor • New Organizational Excellence Specialty Track Up and Running • BOC format set & 1st two lessons completed • Updating numerous other Specialty Tacks • Coordinating Revision of CAPR 50-17 • 2008 NSC was a GREAT Success—already beginning work on 2009

  4. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYLt. Col. Bill Hughes, Advisor • Accessibility of pilot & ES quals for out-of-Wing members is now up, and under constant review • Pilot info for new CAPR 60-1 complete • ORMS System replacing CATS/CEMS testing in progress—expect release 04/09 • Aircraft scheduling planned end of FY09 as an add-on to WMIRS • Ops Quals Ver 2 delayed due to higher level priorities.

  5. AEROSPACE EDUCATIONCol. Mike Murrell, Advisor • CAPR 280-2 released 30 January • Changes to CAPP 215 in progress-Summer NB • Fly-A-Teacher Program continuing. Draft new Reg being developed • PCR Region and GLR Region AEO Schools have been scheduled • AE Summit held in conjunction with NCASE, FY09 Goals and Initiatives Developed

Rick Greenhut, Advisor • Continuing Work on Selling Ad Space in Volunteer to Make Its Costs Self-Liquidating • NMWG testing Mega Meeting Video Conferencing Software for CAP Suitability • Working on Simplified Checklist for New CAP Members on How To Qualify for Ops Missions • Worked with NHQ/PA to Strengthen Region PA Officer Program

  7. PUBLIC AFFAIRSCol. Rick Greenhut, Acting Team Leader • Continuing improvements in Volunteer – Special Thanks to Julie DeBardelaben • Working with Member Affairs to improve CAP Online News • Working to Strengthen Region and Wing PAO Resources • Developing a Solid Network & Relationship with PIOs from other ES Organizations • Continuing Development of Story Concepts for Non-CAP Publications

  8. MEMBER AFFAIRSCol. Tom Todd, Advisor • Working with Public Affairs to improve CAP Online News • Develop a new member’s checklist for qualification into the most popular specialty qualifications • Working with the Uniform Team to Develop a new and Improved Standardized Uniform Policy

  9. AWARDS & PROMOTIONSLt. Col. Rick Mosley, Team Leader; Col. Tom Todd, Advisor • Award and Promotion Waiver requests are now being processed within a month—usually less than 2 weeks • Emergency Approvals have been coordinated in less than a week—but please use sparingly • Working directly with Wings to support requests lacking documentation rather than issue a denial

Tom Todd, Advisor • Recommendations sent to CAP/CC for improved Uniform Policy • Coordinated Uniform Agenda Items for Winter Board Consideration • Developing a simplified process for member input (web bridge being reviewed) • Expanding size of Uniform Team (2 members added)

  11. GOVERNMENT RELATIONSCol. John Swain • Working BOG Approved Legislative Agenda incl. Restoration of Cuts to 2010 O&M Budget • Working on Support of HR 1333e • ’09 Washington Focus events will include Legislative Day, National CAP Display (AF Week), week long CAPabilities demo • New Advisory Group Formed to Assist Operation of DC Office

  12. STATE LEGISLATIVE TEAM LEADERCol. John Swain, Advisor, Acting Team Leader • Developing templates and training programs for Wing Legislative Officers • Developing a strong and effective State Legislative Team capable of providing support to those Wings which request it, and to assist in our overall legislative effectiveness. • Will be seeking Wing CCs assistance in preparing Legislative contact roster.

  13. CADET PROGRAMSLt. Col. Ned Lee • New NCSA Advisor Position Approved • Continued development of Implementation Guide for CAPR 52-10 • Reconfiguring Cadet Alumni Association Task Force • New “Red Horse” Civil Engineering NCSA approved on a fast track basis • NCSA Prep and Staffing is underway for a GREAT 2009 Summer program

  14. DRUG DEMAND REDUCTIONLt. Col. Jett Mayhew, Team Leader;Lt. Col. Ned Lee • CAPR 51-1 almost complete for review, delayed due to priorities • Forming new Team to develop DDR Excellence Program • Developing “Quick Start Guide” for New DDR Officers • Developing new Power Point Presentation for “Flying and OTC Drugs” • Continuing Tele-Training initiative with excellent feedback from the field

  15. SPAATZ ASSOCIATIONMaj. Steve Austen, Advisor;Lt. Col. Ned Lee • Continuing liaison with the Spaatz Association • Working with staff to identify Spaatz Award recipients to enhance both Spaatz Assoc. and CAP recruiting • 2009 Annual Dinner Saturday Evening • Aerospace Leadership Scholarships (3 @ $2,500 each) is to be awarded • Developing Marketing Plan to include a TSA website • Working on a Spaatz Patron Squadron

  16. NATIONAL CADET ADVISORY COUNCILCol. Larry Trick, Advisor;Lt. Col. Ned Lee, Advisor • Conduct and guide NCAC Meeting • Working Fitness, O Ride, & DDR Issues • Advertising Missions & NCSAs to all Cadets URBAN PROGRAMSCol. George Boyd, Team Advisor • Staff Study & Recommendations given to CAP/CC • Col. Boyd completed DEOMI Training at Patrick AFB
