Human Rights Law Firms For a lawyer practicing the Human Rights the most fundamental tool of human rights is the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The ECHR is a document listing the fundamental rights which have to be interpreted in accordance with time and space. It grew slowly and has been systematically completed with protocols. All the fundamental rights are in the ECHR and the additional protocols. Within the Council of Europe a mechanism has been set up to impose the respect of the ECHR, the office of individual requests (next to the interstate complaints).
