  2. Living healthy by exercising and eating right seem to be a major topic of concern in the US. Studies show that what children learn while they are young may be carried on to adulthood. Studies also show a correlation between physical activity and academic success. Given the opportunity to influence the young mind, we as educators, should do all that we can to make sure our students have a well balanced education. The following is a break down of the 2012 school year based on a High School Block schedule where PE is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. The objective of this school year in Physical Education is for students to experience and engage in different sports and physical activities that they enjoy and incorporate into their lives outside of school.
