  2. Please Note! • The following courses must be completed Priorto final student teaching (EDEL 453 and 454): • EDEL 350 or EDRD 319 ART 444 • EDEL 450 MUS 305 • PSY 347 SES 403 • EDF 370 ET 247 & 347 • EDSE 430 SCED 475 • TESL 370 or TESL 400 EDEL 445 • CH 303 EDEL 446

  3. Course Information TESL 380 Prerequisites: TESL 350 for ESL concentration Or TESL 370 for Language Arts concentration SCED 375 • Please click on the CRN # To select the correct Lab

  4. ESL Information • ESL concentration requires: • Documentation of foreign language background • Contact: elizabeth. franklin@unco.edu • Take PLACE Test for ESL Endorsement after TESL 401 • Student Teaching - must be in an ESL-based school

  5. Grade Replacement • Complete form prior to semester’s drop deadline • Form is available on Registrar’s website • Information  www.unco.edu/registrar • Contact Financial Aid regarding guidelines • Grade Replacement does affect COF Stipend

  6. PRAXIS II Scores • Print your PRAXIS II scores immediately • Score availability expires • Or documentation from CDE https://edx.cde.state.co.us/PublicEducatorSearch/DOBSearch.jsp • Student teaching placement requires proof of a passing PRAXIS II score

  7. EDFE 130 Registration • Registration for EDFE 130: • Semester prior to the Student Teaching • Register for the section that lists Margo Barnhart/Lynette Kerrigan as the instructors • Attend one mandatory meeting • Even if you do not presently have the required GPA (3.0) please register for this course

  8. Student Teaching • Please read Student Teaching Information and Policies http://www.unco.edu/teach/st.html • No other courses can be taken during student teaching without permission from PTEP Coordinator • Required 3.0 Cumulative GPA for placement • Placement request for Student Teaching is on Blackboard through EDFE 130

  9. Schedule an Unofficial Grad Check • Semester prior to the Literacy Practicum (EDEL 445/446) with an ISET advisor Call the ISET Office : 351-2929 or stop by • Your advisor will review your Degree Evaluation and answer your questions

Graduation Information • Please note new graduation procedure ! • Call 970-351-2231, (option 3) http://www.unco.edu/regrec/Current%20Students/Graduation/Application.html • Via Bear email you will receive confirmation the Registrar received your application • Within 5 to 10 business days you’ll receive an email showing any outstanding graduation requirements • See ISET advisor regarding any questions/concerns

How to get your PIN • Attend Group Advising • Peel off name label (alphabetical by last name) • Go to ISET website www.unco.edu/iset • News and Events  ISET Group Advising Survey • Use PASSCODE from name label • Take ISET Group Advising survey • Submit • Write down PIN • Register on designated date (check on URSA)

  12. Summer Registration • Registration for summer 2014 begins April 7 • No PIN required • If applicable please check with Financial Aid regarding summer funding

  13. Be A Volunteer!Teacher Employment Days • Teacher Employment Days (TED) April 3 & 4 • More than 100 school districts from approximately 14 states will be represented • First-hand opportunity to observe the process of teacher candidate interviews • Volunteers are needed in numerous areas: • Greeting • Refreshments • Directions/information * Details will be sent via the Listserv
