Comprehensive Implementation of Watershed Management in Namakkal District

DESCRIPTION

The full implementation phase of the watershed project in Namakkal District (Watershed Code: 4B1B3b3a1 & 4B1B3b3a2) under NABARD-WDF has achieved significant results. Key accomplishments include the completion of 1,440 cum of water absorption trenches, 1,203 cum of contour trenches, 66 meters of stone gully plugs, and the establishment of loose boulder structures. The total expenditure amounts to Rs. 1,38,044. These interventions substantially enhance water conservation and soil management, addressing environmental challenges in the region.
