Welcome to the LCS program at Pine Lake, aimed at developing social skills, organization, and study habits for success in middle school. Join Ms. Neely, Ms. Jarrell, Ms. Jyoti, and others as we focus on group work, problem-solving, and more. Be prepared, be respectful, be engaged! Grading is based on participation and work habits. Weekly activities include skill work, organization, small groups, and game day.

  5. Purpose: The purpose of LCS is to learn the skills needed to become effective social thinkers and contributing members of the school community at Pine Lake. In addition, students will learn skills to maintain organization skills and study skills to be successful middle school students. • Key Concepts: Expected/Unexpected behaviors across school settings, problem solving, group work, conversation skills, perspective taking, flexibility, and study skills/habits Why are we here?

  6. Grading: LCS is a participation based class. Students will receive points based on a variety of rubrics. In addition, students will receive points for work habits which include making productive use of class time. grading
