Design Challenges (rough categorization) Small – 1 to 2 hour challenges that cycle students through the process Medium – 1 to 10 day challenges with student teams engaging in multiple cycles that focus on a few topics within one discipline Large – Multiple week projects where student teams work on projects that span multiple disciplines Design Activities These are 1 to 60 minute activities centered around a phase in the process or another aspect of design thinking that allow students to develop their skills Classroom Examples
