Objectives of the Monyetla Work Readiness ProgrammeTM 1 Objective 1: To equip unemployed South Africans from the National Skills Development Strategy target groups with the skills required to enter employment in the BPS sector. Objective 2: To implement an employer-led consortium model to optimise employment. Objective 3: To ensure the placement of at least 70% of learners in employment on completion. Objective 4: To ensure the development of home-grown supervisors and managers. Objective 5: To encourage employers to complete remaining credits of the qualifications.

Talent Development Objectives 7 Initial objectives of the Talent development pillar was to train 30 000 learners as well as 5 000 middle and senior management candidates in the sector and absorb as many as possible of the trained candidates into formal employment in the BPS sector. Hence Monyetla Work Readiness Programme

Level 4 Programme 8 Skills Training programmes, trainers, assessors and moderators should be accredited with at least one these SETAs: INSETA, Services Seta, BankSeta, FASSET, MICTS NQF Level 4 skills training programmes (encouraged to do the full qualification), with a minimum of 68 credits and relevant to the industry of the employer, nature of work to be assigned to the learner and BPS sector

Business Process Services 9 Finance and Accounting Services (e.g.: accounting services, accounting preparation and reconciliation, asset management, corporate claims processing, loan application processing, portfolio analysis and management, financial reporting, treasury and financial management, tax consulting and compiling, tax management and auditing); Human Resource Functions (e.g.: compensation and payroll administration, recruiting and termination, education, and training and development), Contact centres (e.g.: inbound customer service, inbound helpdesk, inbound sales, inbound technical support, outbound data cleaning and data capturing, outbound debt collections, outbound customer interview, research and surveys, outbound telemarketing/sales, web sales and marketing, advertising, creative processes and marketing research services);

Business Process Services 10 Back Office Processes (e.g.: administration, data entry/preparation, data entry – scanning and archiving, document management, translation and transcription service, forms and report generation); IT and Technical Services (e.g.: network management and maintenance, software development and maintenance, Website design and development, network maintenance, data conversion, -entry, -scanning, -administration and -maintenance); and Other Specialist Services (e.g.: knowledge process outsourcing, analytics, engineering and design, asset management, infrastructure management, logistics and fulfilment, procurement, transportation services, travel and tourism booking and reservations, translation and transcription services, and insurance industry functions).

Consortium Roles Employer-Prime contractor with Mudzi Business Consulting (manages consortium) Trainer-Sub-contractor to Employer (provides training content and delivery; internal moderation; external moderation*) Recruiter-Sub-contractor to Employer (sources and recruits suitable candidates for the Programme) Learners-enter into learner agreements with Employer (participate in Programme and employment) * Moderation by suitably accredited person who was not directly involved in the training or assessment process.

Submission Two hard copies of proposals from employer-led consortia of employers, recruiters and trainers should be delivered by 16h00 on 09 July 2013 Physical address: Ground Floor, Block D, Newlands Office Park, 261 Lois Avenue, Newlands, Pretoria 0081 Proposals may not exceed 30 pages, including annexures.
