The National Institute for Earth Physics (NIEP) is coordinating Romania's integration into the EPOS framework. This initiative involves the National Seismic Network, the "Mare Nigrum" multidisciplinary marine research ship managed by GeoEcoMar, and the National Geomagnetic Observer. The Romanian government, through the National Authority for Scientific Research (NASR), is committed to modernizing and optimizing research infrastructure to support solid Earth sciences. Key contacts are Gheorghe Marmureanu and Constantin Ionescu for further details.
