  2. Fact or Opinion? • A fact is a clear, straightforward description of s situation. Facts can be supported by evidence. • An opinion is a statement someone believes is true, but which others may argue is not true. An opinion is more of a judgment or a description.

  3. Compare these two statements. OPINION: The building is tall. FACT: The building has 20 floors.
