  2. Roller coasters go very fast and are vey popular amongst people of all ages. There are many parks where there are a lot of rides that are open to anyone that is old enough.

The History of the Roller Coaster -The roller coaster traces its origins to Russia, where wood-framed ice slides sent sledders down 70-foot high slopes as early as the 16th century. -These Russian Mountains also became popular summertime attractions when wheeled carts rolled riders down large, undulating wooden ramps. -First use of powered chainlift: Gravity Pleasure, Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York

  4. Did You Know?... Below are ten fun and interesting facts about roller coasters: The longest wooden coaster is Beast at Kings Island There is only one wooden flip coaster that I know. It is Son of Beast at Kings Island The tallest roller coaster is 415 ft. high. This roller coaster is the Super Man Escape. It was first opened on the 25th anniversary of Six Flags Magic Mountain. The Super Man Escape also has the most airtime at 6.5 seconds. When it gets to the top of a 415ft. mountain it starts going backwards down the mountain. The tallest roller coasters are the Griffon at Busch Gardens
