  3. The History of the Roller Coaster Roller coasters were first created in the 1400 – 1500’s by a group of inventors in Russia. In this case, it means that the first roller coaster was built in Russia made out of wood, as some roller coasters are still made today. The first roller coaster arrived in North America in the 1870’s. The Russians invented and/or came up with the idea of having friction roller coasters by Russia.

  8. I have been on many roller coasters but definitely not as close to the fastest ones in the world and the United States. I cannot imagine going on a roller coaster that travels at 120 MPH when the fastest one that I have been on goes at only 70 MPH! I have been on a few roller coasters including Sheikra from Six Flags and Bolderdash from Lake Compounce. My first roller coaster ride that I can remember was on drop time and that is when you sit in a seat and a machine brings you up about 200 Feet and drops you straight down. It was chilling and made me get Goosebumps.
