Curriculum Committee • 2012-2013 Goals • Junior Achievement supports –Crooms’ 4 year career plan • —9th grade program – April 4, 11, 18, 25, May 2 • --10th grade program Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 13, Nov. 20 • --11th grade program complete by Feb. • --12th summer internship • Teach In Day – November 13, 2012 • Tech Fest/Field Day/LanFest – March 21, 2013 • Senior Exit Interviews- 124 seniors –Nov.26-Dec. 3, 2012 • Instructional Coaches/Teacher Grants • College visits

Job Shadowing/Internship Committee 2012-2013 Goals: 6 field trips planned this year: • Oct. 26, 2012 – Symantec Corporation • Nov. 15 – Dot Decimal • Dec. 7 – Dave Maus Toyota • Jan. 17 – Convergys Corporation • Jan. 24, 2012--Sanford Chamber of Commerce • Feb. 19 - Siemens • Prepare juniors for Summer Internship Thank you SCPS –RTT funds for paying for transportation and subs (teachers)

Internship 2012-2013 Goals: • Identify 20-25 slots • Plan an employer recruitment workshop for the Internship Program – January 18 at noon. • Begin interviewing by end of April • Identify students before school year ends Interns start June – August Next committee session: Conf. call Dec. 21 8 a.m. Internship workshop for empoyers – Jan. 18,2013 noon at Crooms
