Upbringing • Born in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1949. • Studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. • Father was in the Air Force and the family moved frequently. • Took her first pictures during the Vietnam War while the family was stationed in the Philippines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Leibovitz

Rolling Stones • Started her career with rolling stones in 1970 as a staff photographer. • At age of 23, she was promoted to chief photographer. • Her photographs helped define the look of the magazine. • Shot John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, on December 8, 1980. • She was the last to photograph him, because he was shot and killed five hours later. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Leibovitz
