  2. Computer Keyboarding 602 9-12 This is not just a typing class with a new name. Yes, today’s keyboarding classes stress the development of basic keyboarding techniques, which include, keyboarding mastery by touch; speed & accuracy drills, language arts development, and document formatting, but the modern keyboarding class has been expanded to include computer literacy concepts. After mastering the keyboard by touch you will have an introduction to Computer Applications, which will provide instruction in the areas of business communication (MS Word), spreadsheet management (MS Excel), database management (MS Access), and presentation management (MS PowerPoint). Students will also use the Internet as a research tool. Graduation elective credit • Digital Media Productions62511-12 Are your creative? Would you like to be? Do you like to work with digital cameras, web pages, create and edit digital videos and digital photos? Then this class is for you! DMP will give any student the skills to create a digital masterpiece. As an DMP student you will learn Adobe Photoshop, web design, animation and video editing using Adobe Premiere, Adobe InDesign, After Effects, Sound Booth and Encore, with successful completion, you will be qualified to work on actual design projects for the school or our community at large. Students in DMP designed the course diagrams and graphics used in this catalog. UC Fine Art Credit

  3. Computer Programming 1630 10-12 Do you dream of creating video games that millions of people want to play every day? Are you creative? Do you have an idea for your own video game? Maybe you would like to make some simple 3D video games. This class could give you your start towards a very enjoyable and rewarding career. First year students are introduced to programming using a simulated internship environment using Dark Basic Game engine and the “I support Learning.com Video Game Curriculum.” Graduation elective credit; meets UC/CSU “g” requirement. Computer Applications 1 629 9-12 This course is essential for all students going to college or entering the job market. Students will receive instruction in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, and may have the opportunity to take the Microsoft Certified Applications Specialist exam. Students passing the exam will receive certification from Microsoft in the applicationexam passed. Thiscertification indicates that the student has a comprehensive knowledge of the application, which can give you an advantage in obtaining entry to your career of choice. Graduation elective credit
