HPG technical working group Achievements in 2011: • Completing Term of Reference Guideline on establishment of technical working groups under HPG • Supporting departments to develop the proposals and TOR to establish TWGs • HPG technical working groups named "Reproductive Health Affinity Group” was officially established in Oct/2010 (focal point: Department of Mother and Child Health) • HPG technical working group named “Health Environment Management Group” was officially established in Apr/2011 (focal point: Administration of Health Environment Management) • Working with TWGs to make an agreement in term of information exchanging, supporting and coordinating.

  4. Reproductive Health Affinity Group - (RAHG) - Focal point: Department of Mother and Child Health - Interested partners: UNFPA, WHO, UNICEF… • Organizing the first quarterly meeting in 13 April 2011 • Co-Chair: Mr. Nguyen Duy Khe, Director of MCH Dept., MOH and Mr. Bruce Campbell, UNFPA Representative in Vietnam • Main meeting contents: • Updating TOR for RHAG • Sharing the contents of ASEAN Planning Workshop on MCH in Philippine • Initial results and recommendations of the survey on current situation of the RH care network and RH service utilization • 5 Initial results of end-line survey of UNFPA country program (7 provinces, 2005-2010) through M&E indicators • MCH handbook in Vietnam: new project of JICA • Information on RH commodities security implemented recently by MOH and UNFPA

  5. Health Environment Management Group (HEMG) - Focal point: Administration of Health Environment Management • Interested partners: WHO, UNICEF, WB… Including 4 sub-group: • Protection of environment of the health facilities; • Protection of environment in corpse burial and burn activities, environment health; • Hygiene and occupational health, occupational diseases prevention and accident and injury prevention; • Evaluation of health impact due to climate change; management of chemicals, disinfectants and insecticide products for domestic and medical use;

HPG technical working group (cont) • TWG on Health financing , focal point: DPF, interested partners: EU, WB, WHO, Rockefeller… • TWG on Health Insurance, focal point: Dept of Health Insurance, interested partners: WB, UNICEF, Rockerfeller… • TWG on Health Human Resource, collaboration between: Dept of Training and Science and Dept of Organization and Personnel, the Dept of Organization and Personnel focal point, interested partners: WHO, AusAID… • TWG on Health Information Technology, focal point: Dept of Training and Science, interested partners: WB, USAID, WHO, CDC… • TWG on Local Health System, collaboration between Administration of Medical Services Management and the Administration of Preventive Medicine, the Administration of Medical Services Management is the focal point, interested partners: ADB, WB, EU, Pathfinder… • The Dept/Administrations and Interested DPs are advised to contact directly with HPG secretariat for further information.

Steps of establisment/registration • Step 1: The units of MOH in collaboration with the DPs to develop the TOR for the TWG and develop the tentative framework • Step 2: The HPG Secretariat revise and consolidate the procedures to submit for approval of the Leader of MOH • Step 3: After the approval, officially declare the TWG at the HPG meeting and periodically report to the HPG
