The ACPN 2006 -2007 The idea: • A network of practitioners + experts (prevention and law enforcement, mostly from state institutions) • Members owners of the network • Objective: to provide assistance to the members of the network in carrying out their daily operational work Activities • professional networking • Information exchange, learning • expert referral, queries, technical advice • Building the network (sub-regional workshops) Tools • Mailing list • Website AC Workshop _ Bratislava - March 2011

  4. The ACPN 2006 -2007 Results • Creation of a network of practitioners • Identification of the main shortages of ACAs • Dialogue established with some COs on how to support AC work AC Workshop _ Bratislava - March 2011

The ACPN 2008 - 2010 Idea • Expand to capacity development assistance / not only KM > support the CD activities (identifying and utilizing regional expertise) • Membership: Practitioners + ACAs + UNDP offices + experts + other international organizations Formal cooperation with ACAs: MOUs UNDP COs more engaged • Objective: provide assistance for operational work + raise awareness + support to CD activities Activities • professional networking • Information exchange, learning • expert referral, queries, technical advice • Support to CD activities (expertise + regional trainings) Tools: • Mailing list • website – database • Workspace • Newsletter AC Workshop _ Bratislava - March 2011

The ACPN 2008 - 2010 Results • Expansion of the active membership, some members more engaged than others , some COs utilizing the Network • Website kept up to date • Work space developed and utilized • MOUs with ACAs signed > ACAs formally involved in the activities of the network • ACPN utilized for support to ACAs AC Workshop _ Bratislava - March 2011

Idea Opening the network to all stakeholders ? : Membership (Practitioners + ACAs + UNDP offices + experts + other international organizations + NGOs / CSOs + private sector associations / companies) More awareness raising or technical support ? Activities: • professional networking • Information exchange, learning • expert referral, queries, technical advice • Support to CD activities (expertise + regional trainings) • Other??
