Strengthening Water Management in West Africa: WA-Net Regional Training Workshop Overview
The WA-Net workshop held from December 6-10, 2004, at the National Water Resources Institute in Kaduna, Nigeria, aimed to enhance the capacity of individuals and organizations involved in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) across West Africa. WA-Net serves as a regional network for capacity building, promoting collaboration among institutions and facilitating research and training in IWRM. With nodes in Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Nigeria, WA-Net's mission is to empower local response to water management needs and strengthen human and institutional capacities in the region.
