In our recent class, we explored the fascinating aspects of the Maasai people and examined the harsh climate conditions in the Horn of Africa. With extreme aridity causing limited water access and less than 5 inches of rainfall annually, the region faces significant challenges, including drought, limited crop production, and famine. We discussed the implications of nomadic living and its impact on sustainable income. As we strategize potential solutions to break the cycle of poverty and starvation, let's think creatively about ways to improve the lives of those affected in the region.
