  1. Fraction Number Lines Locating Numbers on a Number Line with our BBES 3rd Graders

  2. Let’s identify the parts of a fraction. The top number in a fraction is called the numerator. 13 The bottom number in a fraction is called the denominator. “Denominator” starts with a “D” so look Down at the bottom of the fraction. 

  14. This is how you label fractions on a number line… 0 1 1 2 3 4 That is your denominator! 4 + 1 = 5

  15. This is how you label fractions on a number line… 0 1 55 15 25 35 45 So now just starting counting by 1s, starting with 1. Your WHOLE number will have the same number as the numerator and denominator.
