Math testing • Algebra Prognosis tests are part of the process that identifies students who are ready to accelerate in North Penn’s math curriculum through the study of Algebra I in 7th grade – a two year advancement. • This test is also used by 6th grade math teachers to help recommend appropriate math placement for 7th grade.
Course Selection Timeline • February 13-22 - 6th Grade Teachers make Recommendations and Send them to Pennbrook • March 28- 6.0/HP level decisions by parents are returned to Pennbrook • April 17 – Verification Sheets will be sent home with 6th grade students • April 30– Only Verification Sheets with changes should be sent back to Pennbrook • May 27– 6th Grade Students visit Pennbrook with their elementary school during the school day • June 30 – Deadline for course request changes • Late August – Schedules are mailed • End of August- Orientation at PB 8-10:30 am
