  4. Stages of Lactation • Mid- Lactation • 100 – 200 days • Goal is to maintain peak milk productions as long as possible.

  5. Stages of Lactation • Late Lactation • 200 days after calving and end when the cow dries off (day 305) • Cow gains weight to replenish body condition
