Strategic Meeting on Cold Cut Systems in Constanta, Romania - September 2013

The ULTRANS partner meeting held in Constanta, Romania on September 5-6, 2013, focused on cold cut systems and addressed key challenges and opportunities in the region. With a population of 19 million across 41 counties, including Bucharest, discussions centered on financing solutions through European funds. Participants explored technical options like the Peugeot Boxer and Toyota Hilux for firefighting units, evaluating the potential for expanding operations in the South East region and Bucharest. Collaboration with local farmers and fire departments was emphasized to enhance community safety.

ROMANIA • 19 milion people • 41 counties +Bucharest  8 -10 - 12 regions within 3 years • 2.686 communes (@5 villages) mostly farmers • 560 are able to pay salaries from their taxes • 320 towns(@ 50% population) • 257 Fire Fighting units (military) • 3155 Voluntary Fire Fighting Units/ 662units with 721 FF trucks (668 >15 years old) Cold Cut Systems Partner meeting - September 5-6 2013 ULTRANS

  3. Future • Good potential. Low national financing. European funds • Trying to find a solution with Peugeot Boxer and Expert (/ only front drive available – working for PTO) • Thinking also a solution with Toyota Hilux • Latest FF trucks have been bought by Intra-communities Development Associations with European funds. • Once a technical solution decided, we will start targeting first South East region and Bucharest • In parallel, industrial customers and Navy Cold Cut Systems Partner meeting - September 5-6 2013 ULTRANS
