Two Year Level One Course MXL1(a) then MXL1(b) • YEAR TWO • In year 12 students (for their second year) they will be doing three level one standards which lead logically into some level two standards… • 91036(Int) – Bivariate Data (3credits) • Leading to 2.8(Int) – Stats Questionnaire (3credits) • 2. 91032(Int) – Trigonometry (3credits) • Leading to 2.4(Int) – Trig Relations (3credits) • 3. 91029(Int) – Linear Algebra (3credits) • Leading to 2.1(Int) – Co-ordinate Geometry (3credits) • That’s a total of 9 Level One credits and 9 Level Two credits potentially in their second year. • n.b. The level of difficulty increases substantively between level one and two papers.

  6. Portfolio Ideas… Olympic Games (dates are 2012 around July). Last year the 100m was in 9.54 now it’s …. Trip to south island… Sheet of numbers of different countries information – can they find the maths within them. Intro to other countries (geography cross curriculum). Mythbuster programmes are a great source of mathematical/practical lesson bases.
