  5. Major Graduation Events( Cap and Gown Events ) • Senior Recognition/Awards –student information, student and staff reflections, college info., awards, scholarships, etc. • Refreshments Served • Information to Kasten by May 1 • Wednesday May 14, 2014

  6. Baccalaureate service • Celebration which honors a graduating senior class from a college or high school. The event is typically a Christianity-based interdenominational service • The service is held on the Sunday before, Speakers selected tend to be community leaders, faculty members, students, or local religious leaders, and may be elected by the graduating class. Speeches are often intermixed with musical performances, drama, and worship.

  7. Graduation General Information • April 14 – 18 pick up Herff Jones orders • Send announcements ( 2-3 weeks prior to graduation… beginning of May ) • Graduation is at COA Auditorium • Graduation Tickets

  8. Dress Code for all ceremonies • Men – dark dress pants, white collar shirt, tie, dress shoes • Ladies – Dress , dress shoes, no flip flops • Cap and Gown • If you have a question regarding dress code, please see Ms. Fallon or Mr. Basnight

  9. Senior Updates/Communication • Senior Dues….$25.00, award prizes • Calendar Of Events • Check e-mail daily • Website- event calendar, parent letter, powerpoint, other important information

  10. General Information • Grades • Class Rankings- May 20, prep for speeches • Honor sash distribution prior to graduation • Next meeting – May 12th at 8:30 am

  12. HomeworkComplete survey that will be e-mailed to you at the end of this meeting. We will use your responses to help us prepare for the Senior Awards/Recognition Ceremony.
