  1. Comparison Between Today and the Future Configuration

  2. Calibration Systems – One View • Current systems operating under a NMCI Waiver • MOCC’s have poor data quality • Minimal common processes across all systems • Provide total asset visibility - need Enterprise wide views for inventory • Improve readiness • Reduce Cost - can not continue to support increasing costs of multiple programs • Need better information for decision making * - Customer Sites are included in the quantities.

  3. Calibration Systems – Intermediate • 2 year deployment of interim system • Clean-up data and pilot the common processes across the Navy • Dual design effort and additional costs for life of deployment • Allows deployment of SAP to continue independently • Allows sunsetting of Legacy systems to “new legacy” system • Minimal interfaces to SAP

  4. Calibration –An End State Vision • 10+ year deployment to achieve end state • Integrated business processes and systems • Ground Marines and SSP maintained on separate systems?

  5. Analysis Options • Different viewpoints of our information system exist • No one view addresses all of our current or future processes. • Picking the vision for the future of the program is the challenge • Building the future is the next task

  6. Show Alternate Path to ERP • Complete and Report Full Requirements Statement • Complete current steps • Analyze the resulting documentation • Outline Development Plan • Estimate Timeline and Costs • Perform BCA based upon single system solution that COULD move into ERP

  7. ERP Planning • Update Functional Design Statements • Update COUR VOL II Paragraph Numbers • Verify SAP Process Mapping to COUR update • Add ‘new’ functionality, as needed • Add Test Plan that references SAP ‘processes’ • Outline BCA issues Interface or Inside ERP • Calibration only processes compared to ERP • Automated calibration Procedure delivery and support
