  1. Welcome to Kilimanjaro 360 Expedition Kilimanjaro Climbing and Trekking Tours https://www.kilimanjaro360expedition.com/kilimanjaro-routes/

  2. About Us Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. It is located in Northeast Tanzania and rises 4,900 meters above sea level. The mountain offers stunning views and is home to many unique species of flora and fauna. Head out for Kilimanjaro Climbing and Trekking Tours. 3. Choose the right route and have a spendid, enjoyable experience. Choose the wrong route and suffer a harrowing, miserable climb. Right? It’s not that simple. Climbers succeed and fail on everyroute. Climbers also love and detest every route. Therefore, there is no “best” route for everyone. Route preference is specific to the individual. The question you should ask is, “Which route is best suited for me?”

  4. MaranguRoute It’s sacred to the Maasai; they still perform ceremonial ritual offerings in the mountains “kitchen” to “NGAI” God, in the Maasai vernacular. Rising at an altitude of 2886 ALT-m (GPS) above the Soda Ash Lake, NATRON – (60mts wide, 1-1.5mts deep), with temperatures rising to over 50°C, that heats up the soda ash making it the most conductively favorable nesting fields, for over 4 million little flamingo chicks hatched annually, scattering around the rest of the E. African soda lakes. That heat and soda ash dust makes this place to be the hashiest living environment on Earth thus guarantees no predators close to the eggs or newly hatched chicks.

  5. LemoshoRoute The Lemosho route is one of the newer routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. The route begins in the west and rather than simply intersecting Shira Plateau (like Machame), Lemosho crosses it from Shira Ridge to Shira Camp. Climbers encounter low traffic until the route joins the Machame route. Afterwards, Lemosho follows the same route through Lava Tower, Barranco and Barafu, known as the southern circuit.

  6. MachameRoute Known as the “Whiskey” route, the Machame route is now the most popular route on the mountain. Compared with Marangu, the days on Machame are longer and the walks are steeper. The Machame route is considered a difficult route, and is better suited for more adventurous folks and those with some hiking or backpacking experience. The route begins from the south, then heads east, traversing underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern ice field before summiting. The minimum number of days required for this route is six days, although seven days is recommended. The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. However, due to the heavy crowds, it loses some of its spendor.

  7. RongaiRoute The Rongai route is the only route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the north, close to the Kenyan border. Though gaining popularity amongst climbers, Rongai has low traffic. It is the preferred route for those looking for an alternative to the crowded Marangu route, for those who would like a more remote hike, and for those who are climbing during the rainy season (the north side receives less precipitation).
