This study compares the amino acid sequences of Ku70 proteins from various plant species, highlighting the evolutionary relationships and structural features. The phylogenetic tree was constructed using Clustal W and MEGA 5 software. The alignment of VvKu70 with related proteins reveals conserved regions and functional domains. Copy number analysis shows VvKu70 as a single-copy gene in the grapevine genome, determined by Southern blot analysis.
