FLEX/DP Tutorial. The FLEX and DP can be play defense at the same time. The FLEX is always listed in the 10 th position on the line-up. The FLEX and DP cannot be the same player. The number of players depend on the status of the FLEX and DP. Flex/DP Batting Order.

  1. FLEX/DP Tutorial The FLEX and DP can be play defense at the same time The FLEX is always listed in the 10th position on the line-up. The FLEX and DP cannot be the same player The number of players depend on the status of the FLEX and DP.

Pos Name No Pos 1 Anna Askin 11 3 2 Betty Been 22 2 3 Carla Compton 33 6 4 Deb Donks 44 7 5 Emily Erkins 55 5 DP Fran Frazier 66 7 Gail Goble 77 9 DP is playing the “reserve” position 8 Halie Hobart 88 1 9 Isabel Ingles 99 8 Flex Jenny Johnson 01 4 Kay Kilman 02 Lois Lane 03 When the Flex is playing defense and the DP is playing offense, there are 10 players in the game Flex is playing 2nd base When you have this situation, think of a new defensive position called the “reserve” or “bench” Flex Any player may play any position DP DP is playing “reserve”

  4. Flex is playing SS The FLEX and the DP may play defense at the same time Flex is playing 2nd base The SS is now playing the “reserve” position Flex DP Still have 10 players SS SS is playing “reserve”

DP is playing 2nd base There are now 9 players DP Flex There is NO Flex position now

  6. If the Flex returns to defense, the DP position can be restored. Flex returns to play 2nd base DP must return to the original batting position Flex If the DP position is restored, now have 10 players DP DP is back to playing “reserve”
