Implemented? • Certification of HES Interoperability • Korean Government recommends that HES products should have the functionalities of interoperability conforming to the KSX-4501 series. • TTA, a certification body in Korea, tests and certificates the interoperability of HES products according to the KSX-4502 series. • Presently 9 products of 5 Korean manufactures, such as Samsung SNS, Hyundai Telecom, Kocom, are certified. • Application of Certification • Since 2012 Jan, LH, the largest public house constructor in Korea, requires the certification of Interoperability at the contracts for HES product supply. • The private house constructors in Korea are expected to follow the policy of LH in the near future.

Model or Protocols? • Part 3-x: Community interface application model • Use Cases included in the spec • Use case 1: logging in and obtaining initial data • Use case 2: opening the lobby door of a residential building • Use case 3: changing the passwords • Use case 4: obtaining remote utility metering data • Use case 5: monitoring CCTV video • Use case 6: elevator boarding request • Use case 7: parked vehicle location guide • Use case 8: parking notification • Use case 9: parcel delivery notification • Use case 10: community announcements • The Use Cases are not generic. • When new service is added, Use Case, Events, Events flow should be added. • Butthe Use Cases are typical. • The Use Cases are the minimum set that every community system should support. • In this view “Model” is correct.

Model or Protocols? • Part 3-y: Home control application model for smart devices • Use Cases included in the spec • Use case 1: logging in and obtaining initial data • Use case 2: obtaining a list of home devices • Use case 3: changing the password • Use case 4: setting the information of home devices • Use case 5: controlling a home device • Use case 6: event notification of home device • The Use Cases are generic. • When new home device is added, no changes in Use Case, Event flow • Data types would be added or modified to describe the properties of device. • In this view “Model” is correct.
