  2. Main charters • Stanley, Zero, Kate Barlow, Sam the onion man, and X-Ray.

  3. Setting • A summer afternoon on Camp Greenlake.

  4. Problem • The Problem is that Stanley had famous shoes fall on head that police thought he stole and now he goes to jail because of it. His family is also very poor and their house smells

  5. Rising action • Stanly has a choice, either go to Camp Greenlake or go to a jail. Stanly makes the decision to go to Camp Greenlake. Now it gets interesting….

  6. Rising Action • Stanly is told to dig holes 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide. This is hard for Stanly because he is fat and out of shape.

  7. Rising action • Stanly finds a gold tube in one of his holes with the initials K.B. He takes it to the warden and she says it is not valuable so she sends him back to his hole.

  8. Rising action • Magnet steals peanuts from Mr. Sir and he thought it was Stanly he does not like this so he takes it up with the warden. The warden did not like it when Mr. Sir bothered her so she scratched him on the cheek and he blamed Stanly for this.

  9. Rising action • Stanly learns that Zero doesn’t know who to read or write. Stanley teaches Zero how to read and write in exchange to dig part of Stanly’s hole.

  10. Rising action • Zero ran away. He ran away because he didn’t like it there and they did not treat him well and thought he was nothing

  11. Climax • Stanly runs away 5 days later to find his friend Zero. He finally finds him under a boat drinking a drink called SPLOOSH it tastes very good to them.

  12. Falling action • Stanly and Zero journey up a mountain to the top to find water because the are delirious. Along the way they take many breaks because they have to climb to 1 ½ - 6 inch sharp edges that make their finger bleed.

  13. Falling action • At the top of the mountain the dig 1 hole through soft wet mud at the bottom they found a strange food and water. This “strange food” was an onion they did not recognize it at first but then they saw a bunch of onion plants around, so they picked them and ate them to survive for about a WEEK.

  14. Falling action • They went back to camp Greenlake late at night to dig 1 last hole for luck. They found a suitcase in the hole they dug. The warden found them in the hole with poisonous lizards surrounding them and she said give me the suitcase Stanly refused. He saw gems and stuff inside so he didn’t give it to her.

  15. Resolution • Stanly’s lawyer came to Camp Greenlake to find him still in that hole with the lizards around him. She came to free him because she found out he was incent so he took him back to the regular world Zero came without telling anybody but Stanly that he stole the shoes and dropped it on his head on accident

  16. Conclusion • Stanley goes home to his family opens the suitcase and finds checks worth tons of money with his name on it and gems not worth much. • Stanly gave Zero part of the money and Zero hired a crew to find his real mom and dad
