  4. WHY? • USING “THAT” or “WHICH” WHEN YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT A PERSON MAKES THEM SEEM LESS THAN HUMAN; LESS THAN DESIRABLE • EXAMPLE: A MAN REFERRED TO HIS NEW STEPMOTHER (WHOM HE DISLIKED) AS: “THE WOMAN THAT MARRIED MY FATHER”

  5. ADDITIONALLY, • THESE WORDS—WHO/WHOM/WHOSE; THAT; WHICH—ARE KNOWN AS RELATIVE PRONOUNS
